What is the PigeonAir Project?

The PigeonAir Project aims at releasing an Open and Free (as in Free Speech) GPL solution to easily build up clustered, scalable and modular email services, targetted to satisfy all ISP needs.

The PigeonAir Project has been officially started on the first of July 2004, and is now working to release:
PigeonReader
A flexible and modular web mail, able to keep different configurations for each user and each domain in a shared database, able to support different skins (to completely change the layout and look and feel of the page) for different domains and to share them among a cluster of web servers.
PigeonDeliver
A Modular Mail Delivery Agent and POP3/IMAP proxy, able to deliver and provide emails among a cluster of mail servers, keep different configurations for every domain and for every users and to differentiate the delivery process depending on the services purchased by your customers, to enforce limits, provide an administrative hierarchy to manage privileges and with a structure easy to integrate in web applications, existing systems and custom applications.
PigeonAdmin
An administrative interface able to manage all PigeonDeliver flexibility, able to have different skins for different domains, to allow administrators to delegate administrative privileges, to enable/disable features per domain and per user, and to allow domain administrators or users to change all the details about the delivery process of their emails, as allowed by higher degree administrators. Additionally, the administrative interface will provide scripts and support for other applications to perform administrative operations using HTTP requests or SOAP rpc.
